should have a clear idea of the plot of the story before one begins
writing a story on it.
ii.
If an
outline is given, follow it closely, and narrate each event in
its proper order.
iii.
Connect
all the important points without missing anything. Use
your imagination to supply the details.
iv.
Introduce a dialogue where
necessary, but do not make it a practice.
v.
Try
to make the conclusions as natural as possible.
vi.
Give
a heading to your story. For this purpose one may choose the main
character or incident, for example, A Faithful
Dog, The Farmer and His Sons etc. that suits the story.
vii.
If
needed, also give a moral to your story. But where the heading
is a proverb, no moral is required.
viii.
The
important word in the heading must begin with capital letters.
ix.
Use
simple English and divide your story in suitable
paragraphs.
x.
Try
to make your story a complete whole.
